Look for Honda at the All-Star Weekend
The National Hockey League® (NHL) has expanded its relationship with Honda. As part of a multi-year agreement, American Honda Motor Co. will include Honda Canada Inc. as League sponsor in the automotive category in North America.
"Aligning the personality of Honda vehicles with the NHL is a natural extension of our fun-spirited brand," said Jeff Conrad, senior vice president and general manager of Honda Division, "Participating in and being a part of sporting tradition also matches well with the activities of our owners. We're thrilled to expand this relationship with the NHL in so many key ways to showcase the clean, safe and versatile nature of our lineup."
Honda will continue its participation and activations at key NHL events throughout the season. Honda's award-winning vehicles, including the all-new 2016 Honda HR-V crossover, Honda CR-V, and the Honda Civic will activate across key events including NHL Face-Off™, NHL Winter Classic®, NHL® All-Star Weekend, NHL Heritage Classic™, NHL Stadium Series™, NHL Awards™, and NHL Draft™, as well as throughout the Stanley Cup® Playoffs and Stanley Cup Final.
At the 2015 NHL All-Star Weekend, Honda will serve as title sponsor for the 2015 Honda NHL All-Star Skills Competition™ taking place on Jan. 24, where the greatest players in the League will face off in a series of on-ice contests including the fastest skater, accuracy shooting, hardest shot, and the breakaway challenge, among others.
Honda will also be the title sponsor of the 2015 Honda NHL® All-Star Game on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2014 where the Columbus Blue Jackets will host elite NHL players, in front of thousands of fans.
The 2015 NHL All-Star Weekend is a fitting location for Honda to make a splash and to celebrate its relationship with the National Hockey League. Ohio is home to 11 Honda facilities including a four-million square foot facility at the center of designing and producing vehicles for more than 100 countries around the world.

Meet Bianchi Honda's Internet Manager, Patrick Buren
We recently sat down with Pat and learned a little about him.
Q. Tell us a little about yourself.
A. I am a 6-year veteran of internet marketing and advertising with substantial experience in web design and graphic arts. This coupled with my love for helping anyone in need allows me to fit in with my great friends at Bianchi Honda.
Q. What do you enjoy most about your position at Bianchi Honda? What are your current duties?
A. My current duties at Bianchi Honda include web design, graphic arts, SEO and SEM management, and integration of other online platforms including social media outlets and email campaigns.
Q. What’s something about you that most people don’t know?
A. I may get criticized for this, but I am a nationally ranked cheerleader and cheerleading coach. I grew up with an older sister, Angela, who got me into the sport and the rest was history. Traveling from state to state and competing was some of the best times of my life in one of the toughest sports I have ever attempted.
Q. What do you enjoy spending your time doing outside of work?
A. One of my favorite activities is running. Some may call me crazy, but this year I completed my third ultra marathon. Going out distances farther than your normal 26.2-mile marathon is just a thrill. This coming year I hope to compete in the Oil Creek 100-Mile Trail Challenge and crush it yet again.
Q. Who is your role model?
A. My father, Dennis Buren, is my role model. With distinguished service, multiple Purple Hearts, Bronze Star, Air Medal, and many others from Vietnam, he encompasses that of what many deem to be a role model. Many people owe my father their lives with his valiant actions, yet he believes he was just doing his job. Ever since I was little, I have looked up to my father for being a great teacher, provider, and inspiration of how I should live my life. I am lucky to be his son.
Q. What is your favorite season and why?
A. My favorite season is winter. With more snowfall than anywhere else (besides Buffalo), Erie offers so much. Snowmobiling, snowboarding, ice fishing, and trail running are a blast, but the snow also offers you an excuse just to stay inside, sit on the couch and watch a great movie without feeling guilty.

The snow helps us to make headlines again
After earning the title of “Snowiest City in the U.S.” (with populations of more than 100,000) for the 2013-2014 winter season, many Erie residents held on to the tiny hope that maybe we would catch a break this winter.
Those hopes were quickly dashed on Thursday, Nov. 14, when Erie received 11.8 inches of snow – marking the first snowfall of the season.
Then, with predictions of lake effect storms expecting to drop more than a foot of snow in the Erie region, crews from The Weather Channel and ABC News made their way to Erie to follow the winter storm.
One of the crew members included Erie native Dylan Dreyer who got her start reporting for WICU-TV. Dreyer and her team broadcasted live from Erie’s Bayfront, giving a glimpse of Erie’s winter weather to viewers nationwide.

Best Buy for Small Car, Midsize Car, Small SUV/Crossover, and Minivan Categories
Four Honda models, the 2015 Accord, Civic, CR-V and Odyssey have received the prestigious Best Buy Award in their respective categories from the experts at Kelley Blue Book's KBB.com. Honda's four awards are among the most earned by any automaker and represent a third of the twelve total KBB.com Best Buy Award categories.
The 2015 Honda Civic was awarded Kelley Blue Book Best Buy: Small Car, the 2015 Honda Accord for mid-size car, the 2015 Honda CR-V for small SUV/crossover, and the 2015 Honda Odyssey received the Kelley Blue Book Best Buy: Minivan award. Each of the Hondas were selected as winners in their category following expert evaluation and testing by KBB.com experts, along with analysis of a broad range of vehicle-related data, including cost of ownership information, consumer reviews and ratings, and vehicle sales/retail sales information.
"It is an honor to receive Kelley Blue Book Best Buy Awards for four of our core models, all of which are on track to be best-sellers with individual retail car buyers again in 2014," said Jeff Conrad, senior vice president and general manager of the Honda Division. "This prestigious award from KBB.com helps current and future buyers with their purchase decision and further solidifies the notion that customers who purchase a Honda are making an all-around smart choice."
