How far would you go for a Honda?

Customer and Bianchi salesperson go the extra miles

1,479 miles in 24 hours.  That’s the trek that Roxie Prine went on this June to arrive in Erie from Colorado Springs, CO.  It’s her third time making this trip to purchase a vehicle at Bianchi Honda since 2006 when her family was stationed at Fort Carson.

Roxie first became a Bianchi customer in 2005 while still living in Erie.  Her first purchase, with the help of salesperson Chris Strong, was a 2005 Honda Pilot.

“The one thing that makes us continue to come back to Chris and Bianchi is the honesty we receive,” said Roxie.  “This is one value that I hold highly in my own life and to have someone like Chris representing this through his work is amazing.”

The team at Bianchi Honda truly appreciates the loyalty displayed by Roxie and all of our wonderful customers.

This is Honda Stage

A whole new way for you to enjoy music

Honda is no stranger to the music scene – now in its 13th year, the 2014 Honda Civic Tour will feature more music genres and three separate tours.  Now, Honda will introduce the Honda Stage program, a partnership with Clear Channels's iHeartRadio, Live Nation, REVOLT, and Vevo.

In addition, Honda also launched a YouTube channel, resulting in a way to create and distribute original music.  Visitors to the channel will see exclusive online performances, videos, and interviews.

Through its deal with Clear Channel, Honda will receive rights to video taken from Honda Stage-branded live performances at the iHeartRadio Theater in Los Angeles over the next year. Live shows produced by concert promoter Live Nation Entertainment will feed videos to the channel.

A deal with Revolt, a music cable-TV network owned by rapper and music impresario Sean Combs, will create a Honda Stage at Revolt's studios in Los Angeles. Videos of live, in-studio performances and interviews will be fed to the Honda Stage channel and be broadcast on Revolt's cable channel and through other Revolt digital channels.

More video will come from performances on Honda-sponsored stages at major music festivals in the United States, including the Governors Ball in New York, Austin City Limits in Texas, and Music Midtown in Atlanta.

Thanks to the new partnerships with music giants, the 2014 Honda Civic Tour will be bigger and better than ever before.  This year’s concert series will features three successive tours and three distinct genres of music for what is intended as the pillar of the new Honda Stage music platform.

Alternative rock bands Grouplove and Portugal. The Man will co-headline the first Honda Civic Tour this summer with Tokyo Police Club and Typhoon supporting on various dates, kicking off Aug. 10 in Seattle, WA. The second of the three tours will begin in the fall, with pop/rock band American Authors on Oct. 1. In addition, Latin DJ trio3BallMTY will headline the final tour of the series starting mid-November.

Tickets for the first tour went on sale in late June. For more information, visit http://automobiles.honda.com/music.

Orzo Salad

Not sure what to bring to your next picnic?

Ingredients:

 Sea salt

1 1/2 cups whole wheat orzo

5 cups raw broccoli cut into florets & stems

 2 cloves garlic, peeled

 2/3 cup pine nuts, toasted

1/3 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese

 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil

 1/4 cup sour cream

 Zest of 1 lemon

1 small ripe avocado, peeled & sliced

Directions:

Bring a large pot of water to boil. Salt generously, add the orzo, and cook according to the package instructions. Drain, rinse with cold water, and drain well again.

In the meantime, cook the broccoli. Bring 3/4 cup water to a boil in a large pot. Add a pinch of salt and stir in the broccoli. Cover and cook for 1 minute.

Then, quickly drain the broccoli in a strainer and run under cold water to stop the cooking. Drain well and set aside.

To make the pesto, combine 2 cups of the cooked broccoli, the garlic, most of the pine nuts, the Parmesan, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 2 tablespoons of the lemon juice in a food processor. Drizzle in the olive oil and sour cream and pulse until smooth.

Just before serving, toss the orzo and remaining cooked broccoli florets with about two-thirds of the broccoli pesto and the lemon zest.

Then, with a bit of warm water if you like, then taste and adjust if needed. You might want to add a bit more salt, or an added drizzle of lemon juice, or more pesto.

Gently fold in the avocado. Turn out into a bowl or onto a platter and top with the remaining pine nuts.

Enjoy!

The 2014 Civic Si

Equipped with more power, higher tech, and sportier coupe styling

With more power, a retuned suspension, an upgraded interior, a host of new features and a restyled coupe model, the 2014 Civic Si is ready to impress.  Add to this a Best Resale Value Award from trusted vehicle valuation source Kelley Blue Book and a minimal $275  increase in the starting price, and the 2014 Civic Si is poised for success.

The restyled 2014 Civic Si Coupe, riding on 18-inch alloy wheels, has an aggressive, sporty presence. As with all 2014 Civic coupe models, the Si styles a more aggressive hood, front fenders and headlight designs, and new taillight lenses and side mirrors.

As much fun as the Si's engine and chassis offer, there is more to enjoy in the interior. For 2014 the Si Coupe and Si Sedan add as standard equipment Honda's new 7-inch Display Audio touchscreen, which uses a smartphone-like interface, allowing users to swipe, tap and pinch their way through audio, phonebook, media, vehicle information and available navigation features.

Also standard on the 2014 Si is the convenient Smart Entry with Push Button start, expanded view driver's mirror and Honda LaneWatch™ display for enhanced driver visibility.
