A deal with Revolt, a music cable-TV network owned by rapper and music impresario Sean Combs, will create a Honda Stage at Revolt's studios in Los Angeles. Videos of live, in-studio performances and interviews will be fed to the Honda Stage channel and be broadcast on Revolt's cable channel and through other Revolt digital channels.

 

More video will come from performances on Honda-sponsored stages at major music festivals in the United States, including the Governors Ball in New York, Austin City Limits in Texas, and Music Midtown in Atlanta.

 

Thanks to the new partnerships with music giants, the 2014 Honda Civic Tour will be bigger and better than ever before.  This year’s concert series will features three successive tours and three distinct genres of music for what is intended as the pillar of the new Honda Stage music platform.

 

Alternative rock bands Grouplove and Portugal. The Man will co-headline the first Honda Civic Tour this summer with Tokyo Police Club and Typhoon supporting on various dates, kicking off Aug. 10 in Seattle, WA. The second of the three tours will begin in the fall, with pop/rock band American Authors on Oct. 1. In addition, Latin DJ trio3BallMTY will headline the final tour of the series starting mid-November.

Honda is no stranger to the music scene – now in its 13th year, the 2014 Honda Civic Tour will feature more music genres and three separate tours.  Now, Honda will introduce the Honda Stage program, a partnership with Clear Channels's iHeartRadio, Live Nation, REVOLT, and Vevo.

 

In addition, Honda also launched a YouTube channel, resulting in a way to create and distribute original music.  Visitors to the channel will see exclusive online performances, videos, and interviews.

 

Through its deal with Clear Channel, Honda will receive rights to video taken from Honda Stage-branded live performances at the iHeartRadio Theater in Los Angeles over the next year. Live shows produced by concert promoter Live Nation Entertainment will feed videos to the channel.
